What In-Home ABA Looks Like Where You Live
New Mexico is the fifth-largest state by land area and one of the least densely populated. That is a real obstacle for clinic-based therapy. A family in Corrales, Eldorado or Mesilla can be looking at a forty-minute drive each way, several times a week, on top of school pickup and a work schedule. That is usually where a good treatment plan quietly falls apart.
In-home ABA removes the drive. Your BCBA and RBT come to you, and sessions happen in the rooms where the behavior actually shows up — the dinner table, the morning routine, the backyard. That is also where new skills are most likely to stay.
We work outside the home when it helps. That might be a session at a daycare, a visit to support a school team, or a trip to a grocery store or a park to practice a skill somewhere real. Where we go is decided by your child’s goals, not by where a building happens to sit.
Scheduling around school, work and distance
Most families book sessions after school or in the early evening. Younger children often do mornings before preschool. We build the schedule around your week rather than around a clinic’s opening hours.
If you live outside the four metros above, tell us where you are on the first call. We will be straight with you about how many hours a week we can realistically staff in your area. Some parts of the state we can cover fully, others only partially — and it is better to know that at the start than after an assessment.
Coverage Is Statewide, Not Regional
Your insurance does not change depending on which side of the Rio Grande you live on. We are credentialed with New Mexico Medicaid and Turquoise Care, and we work with many private plans. That applies everywhere we deliver services, from Albuquerque and Las Cruces to the smaller communities in between.

Questions About Our Service Areas
Do you only serve the four cities listed above?
No. Those four have their own pages because that is where most of our families live. We also serve communities across the Albuquerque metro, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County and Doña Ana County, and we take other parts of New Mexico case by case. Call and ask about your town by name — it is a quicker answer than any list on a website.
Can you see my child at school or daycare instead of at home?
Often, yes. It depends on the site’s own policy and on whether school is the right setting for the goals in your child’s plan. Where a school agrees to it, we coordinate with teachers and IEP teams so everyone is working toward the same targets.
We live rurally. Is that a problem?
Not automatically. Distance mainly affects how many hours a week we can staff and how soon we can start, so it is worth raising in the first conversation rather than at the end of intake.
How soon can we start once you confirm you cover our area?
That depends more on your insurance authorization than on geography. The benefits check is usually the fastest part; assessment and authorization take longer. We will give you a timeline for your specific plan instead of a generic one.
